What is the role of the Sentinel Concierge?

The Sentinel has a team of Concierge staff, 7 days a week till 11pm, and a full 24 hour roster covering the busy Friday and Saturday nights hours. We all see them sitting at the Level 2 reception desk, or doing a patrol of the Car Park, but have you ever thought of why we have the service. Having a Concierge adds a further dimension to a 5 Star residential facility, and their “Meet and Greet function” is helpful and necessary for visitors, tradesmen access and the numerous queries and requests from Sentinel residents. Concierge staff also have the security role of being a visible presence at the Sentinel reception area, and part of their function is the maintenance of standards set by the owners Body Corp Committee, e.g. use of the Podium facilities on Level 4th, noise issues, and the rules and obligations within the building to ensure residents safety and a high standard of behaviour is maintained. The Concierge service has a “Reassurance” component, some research points to the provision of such a facility has a smoothing and calming effect, we know the Concierge are there, and behaviour is modified accordingly.

The Sentinel Concierge staff are responsible too our Live in Building Manager Gavin, the Sentinel does it’s our own recruitment, and the Concierge service has been in place since the Sentinel opened in March 2008.
